Of course, we are talking about the recasting of Michael Corinthos, who is now played by Rory Gibson.
It seems like he is an absolute natural for the role, as not only does he look like the spitting image of a Quartermaine, but he also looks so much like his mother, Carly Corinthos. We couldn’t have asked for a better Michael for sure. That’s why the character’s return is nothing but perfect.
As our readers can imagine, General Hospital fans certainly did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some have even commented with, “I have always loved Michael and Michael and Carly’s bond. Dylan Cash was my first real Michael since it’s hard to really see a character until they actually start having dialog, so the baby actors don’t count. I loved him as young Michael.”

Another fan of the show wrote, “I really loved Chad as well and was very worried about replacing him. I think Rory has really been crushing it, though.”
“He has fit seamlessly into the role so far and just feels like Michael. Nothing against any of the other actors who played Michael as temps or for shorter periods of time, but I just never saw them as Michael.”
And then there was this comment as well: “This is definitely the best recast that GH has had in a while. I think they’ve been killing it in casting for quite a while! The recasts of: Michael, Lucas, Emma and Lulu are all excellent. The casting of: Isaiah and Sidwell in particular – whew the charisma of these actors!”
