Naturally, one might assume that Drew would have jumped at the chance to take on this role—anything for a platform and a free photo opportunity to boost his image.
After all, who in their right mind would choose a disgraced congressman, recently infamous for a viral video featuring body shots, to host a charity red-carpet event? With Drew currently embroiled in a significant escort scandal, he’s hardly the most popular figure in the media.
Nevertheless, he did hold a press conference to assert his innocence and claim that he was the victim of a drugging scheme. This seemed like an attempt at damage control, and one could have speculated that his collaboration with Nina might serve a similar purpose.

However, it appeared that neither Nina nor Drew was particularly eager to co-host the event, as evidenced by their reactions to phone calls at the beginning of the episode.
